DeAna is a Partner at Burnett Wilson Law, primarily focusing her practice in estate and trust administration (after death) and estate planning (during life). Administration after death includes probate and Nebraska inheritance tax matters. DeAna and Anne Burnett work closely together to assure our team of estate planning and administration attorneys provide each client with the best fit for their unique needs.

A 1997 graduate of Creighton Law School, DeAna earned two CALI Excellence for the Future Awards. The early years of her career were spent working in railroad labor relations. After a hiatus devoted to family, DeAna shifted direction and returned to the legal profession with a new focus in the areas of estate/trust administration and estate planning.

DeAna understands navigating the estate process following the loss of a loved one – and planning during life for what happens after we pass away – can be overwhelming. She is committed to guiding clients through these life stages with dignity and compassion.

While a lifelong Nebraskan, DeAna’s heart resides in Colorado and the beaches of just about anywhere. Travel – near and far - is a welcome adventure whenever the opportunity arises. While an expert at none, DeAna enjoys hiking, biking, and kayaking. Reading, movies, concerts, chat walks and interior design with friends are top of her favorites list. She is also an avid fan of NBA basketball (Go Nuggets & Celtics!) and the Tour de France.
